I use the hypoallergenic filters, because my allergies have less impact.
OT question here, what kind of mask or respirator cartridges would I need when working on a crumbly brick wall?
I don't need silicosis, but can't afford a contractor.

just a fine particulate filter, I'd imagine.
I've got one I picked up ages ago on a lark that has screw in cartridges, and for that you can get all sorts of things, I've been partial to the 'organic vapor' one for general use, with a felt overfilter to cut down on particulates. makes a world of difference when using many cleaning products
hopefully, someone will correct me if I'm wrong on my guess.

Or a water hose w/sprayer, wet brick and mortar, don't make a lot of dust. A regular dust mask should protect from anything escaping. Wear eye protection. Jim
