if you're on suppox, buy yourself an oximeter, they're not terribly expensive these days, cms50i works great with sleepyhead, wrist mounted, comfortable, under 100$ from aliexpress.com.
wear it around the house during the day, wear it at night.
don't guess about these things.

If your COPD is bad enough to need oxygen 24/7 your apneas are probably a result of what they call overlap syndrome. I have been diagnosed with that 3 years ago. I got on Pap right away and my apneas are pretty much under control for now. Every once in a while a little hairy.
As far as my COPD my Ox levels have never been lower than 94 so no oxygen needed. But I know someday I will need it. COPD is progressive it doesn't get better only worse. I did lose 30 lbs when first diagnosed and Dr feels that probably helped Cpap be more effective. AHI before cpap 24. Now 1 sometimes 2. I do take 2 different meds for COPD.
You must do whatever you can to slow the progress of the syndrome. Otherwise it's lights out. Hate to be blunt but that is our prognosis. Please continue your medical care and visit Pulmonologist regularly. Your health is in your hands! Best of luck

If you don't take care of yourself, soon you will not be in the position to help anyone. De-Nile aside those aretge facts. Jim

one of the best, a cms50i is about 100$ direct from china on the aliexpress website.
Can someone please post a specific product link? I see lots of different cms50i listings on that site, the prices are all over the board, and the cheapest one I see is about $120. I just want to be sure I'm not missing something or that there are different packages or feature sets that I'm missing.
I have an SPO7500 that works great, but I'd like to get one that works with Sleepyhead and hopefully uses less expensive batteries. I'll probably sell my SPO7500.

I could, but it rankles me to do all the thinking for people, if you look through the various listings for the cms50i on aliexpress, you'll find that, like amazon, there are various different companies selling the same thing at different prices. pick the one you want, (often the cheap one) and buy it.
I just looked through the list and spotted one for 95$.

All the thinking for people? My apologies, I didn't realize I was asking for the earth. The listings on that site are different enough to cause someone who doesn't already own one to question whether they are actually the same, or whether there are differences in what's included, etc.
I offer help to people constantly on about 10 other forums in addition to FB. Usually it's easy to spot those who are just lazy, and those who are sincerely asking for help.

There are a few Dr's that are now starting there COP patients on O2 just a little earlier than they
may really need it. Not 24/7 but perhaps a few hours at the end of the day just to let your poor lungs
have a little more rest at the end of the day. I think this is done to help slow the progression
of the desiese.

there's only *one* cms50i, there are also D+, E, F, (old and new) H, and other models, and a cms50IW, but you shouldn't be looking for any of those.
it shouldn't take you more than a minute to put in CMS50I in the search box and scroll down to something at a price you're happy to pay.
if you're truly incapable of that, and needing help, PM me and I'll PM you a URL.
I see *THREE* listings on the first page of results that are < 100$

Thanks. Sometimes it helps to have a little reminder of why I left this forum before. I won't make the same mistake twice.

When we say, "Google is your friend", we mean it.
Looking up something on the internet is ridiculously easy. And amazingly empowering!
No one should hesitate to do it, unless you cannot read (or see).
Even speaking a different language is not much of a obstacle--everybody uses it.
I do wish the search function on the forum was a little better,
But if you type in the words, term, or even a question in your browser, you can find it.

alternatively as Sir says:
Sir NoddinOff wrote:In your internet browser's search engine (Google, Duckduckgo etc) type in this phrase:
site:cpaptalk.com what you want to search for
such as
site:cpaptalk.com resmed error codes ... you get the idea.
Don't bother using CPAPtalk's search feature, it's really just for super basic stuff. If you do what I told you, you will get dozens of links to CPAPtalk threads.

I've spent the last 29 years of my life in IT - from developer to analyst to management in numerous capacities. I have degrees in business and IT. And as I've said twice, the way that page is laid out, it isn't obvious that every cms50i in the list is the same. Do you realize that different sellers often sell the same core products bundled in different ways? And that if that were the case here, a person might end up paying more than they need to for things they don't need?
I simply don't understand the need to ridicule and demean people for asking a question. If a question is too much trouble for you, why not just shake your sanctimonious head and move on? What do you think the purpose of an online discussion forum is?
And yes - I'm somewhat familiar with Google. I was using it before the public had ever heard of it. Thank you.

meanwhile back at the oximeter.... my 2 night monitoring of my o2 went downhill fast... I must get anxious or plain nosey of what numbers are recording that in addition to forgetting to breath I forgot to sleep too... I don't know all the numbers that recorded but 80's for sure. In addition to that the sleepDOC fooled with my humidity .... I thought my nose was an "inny" not an "outty" and I doubled my AHI's from 2 to 4+. That's still better from where I came from but..... Tonight I remembered what I read on this forum.... it is my machine and I must learn to read my body and it's settings.... I adjusted the humidity....lowered the heat.... and am positive that I will JUST BREATHE BARBARA AND SHOP FOR MY OWN OXIMETER AT ALIEXPRESS!!!!
