Why would the doctor's office give her such a hard time about the prescription? Maybe associated with a DME and didn't want her to go elsewhere? Maybe husband doesn't really need the CPAP? Maybe the doctor decided this poster is a hysterical nutjob that will never be satisfied?

Oh, now I'm thinking husband is a long time user who for some reason needs a replacement CPAP ASAP ... yeah, that could be scary... but not scary enough I guess to go to a local supplier to buy or rent instead of mail order.
My script is on file with CPAP.com... I wonder if they check it out or if a problem wouldn't be discovered until I ordered something big; so far I've only gotten filters

kaiasgram wrote:Ditto what Roger said. There must be a reason cpap.com discovered that they could not accept the script as written. They gain nothing by declining a sale. I encourage the OP to PM Johnny or Carolyn (Goodmans, the owners) for help getting this straightened out. I have no doubt they will come through. They always do.
Another ditto. When I had some issues with cpap.com, Carolyn straightened it out immediately.

I'm guessing the doctor specifically listed an Escape or Plus--just for spite.
If that was the case, the OP needs to get an RX from their dentist, or a PA.

Every follow on post keeps this dumb subject line post at the top of the list. The op says they are not coming back, so just let it die like it should instead of keep refreshing it.

Threads like this are like train wrecks in progress...everyone has to slow down to watch and then tweet about what they see. or in this case what they think.
There's always two sides to the story and we only have one side here so far and even at that the one side is an incomplete story. Doesn't make sense. CPAP.com isn't going to change their minds about supplying anything without a good reason...especially when it comes to selling a machine. They want to sell machines...that's how they put food on the table.
They aren't stupid. There's more to all this than what we have been told by one side.

The original post was yesterday around 2:00 pm. Wondering if all is well and has been taken care of by now, but OP hasn't reported that. In the past, problems at Cpap.com have been handled pretty quickly.
In the absence of Cpap.com handling it 'immediately', renting short term would have been an option. In my area anyway, renting a machine would have taken less than an hour.

But the OP said,

Still reminds me a lot of Phil or maybe Robert Joseph

Howdy HusbandHasApnea,
We told you incorrect information regarding your husband's Rx, this was our fault and we've made it right.
Here is the operational timeline:
1. While placing the order a CPAP.com CSR told you the Rx was valid.
2. On re-review, it was found invalid per our standards.
3. This was escalated to management, who reviewed it and agreed it was invalid.
4. I note that I was asked about this Rx yesterday as well and per our
Prescription Standards which exist because the regulators say to do it this way, it was invalid.
5. You called to dispute this but you were shouting and we could not explain ourselves. You hung up on us.
6. Your husband called and asked us to re-instate the order as well as request an LMN from his doctor on his behalf. We did so.
7. You doctor sent in your husband's LMN, it is valid and his order is processed and ships today.
We should have initially told you the Rx was invalid and did not. As a result we've waived overnight shipping and included an additional "sorry for the trouble" discount.
We will not ship an order with an invalid Rx no matter what. There are rules regulatory bodies have set and must live by. If you want to start a "overturn the silly and potentially harmful CPAP Rx rules" group, we are in.
Lastly, if you wish to continue doing business with us, you are going to have to be respectful to our CSRs moving forward. They are paid to help CPAP users, not to suffer verbal abuse. Please don't do that again. There is always a better way than that to handle an issue.
