I've been using my current AirFit F10 cushion for almost two months and so far, still going strong. However, my pressures don't go over 20cmH20 - your mileage may vary. I also use a Padacheek liner, which may help. My old Quattro FX cushions barely lasted three weeks before they'd crap out. I suspect Medicare and Medicaid put pressure on ResMed to make their cushions last longer, but I have no proof.

Your RX should specify frequency - usually once or even twice per month.

The mask and headgear should last a long time...you may need to replace the silicone cushion when you detect uncontrollable leaks.

I'm on a 6 week schedule to replace the cushion.

That's almost funny.....What RX. For me to pay $54 to $108 per month out of pocket is out of control. Look like I may have to wait every 2-3 months or get something cheaper.

Sounds reasonable....but the silicon cushion is $54 on Cpap.com
What does ResMed recommend?
My old nasal mask lasted easy 2-3 months at $31.

ResMed recommends every 15 days
http://www.resmed.com/us/en/consumer/su ... eplacement but I really think that's based on what insurance might allow. I've used a variety of FFM and my cushions have always lasted at least two months. I take care to wash the cushion each morning with mild detergent and allow it to air dry out of the sunlight.
For alternate pricing, remember that the Quattro Air and the Air10F use the same cushion. Check amazon.

So - no insurance or heavy copay? Maybe find a cheaper mask (pillows are cheapest and seem to last longest)?

Sounds like a plan.....just not for me. I need the FFM, hopefully I can stretch it 2-3 months

Most insurances cover a full face cushion monthly, some insurances are every 3 months. The cushion and the filter are the 2 components that must be changed. The other components for you can try and stretch!

I wonder if the F10 cushion is boilable.
It would depend on how much heat the hard plastic part can take without warping.
If anyone has tried it on an old F10 or N10, please chime in.
Do not ever try this on your only one! Just saying!

If I recall you can but the water must be at 212 degree F, dipping is optional
