Not my CMS50F whiteface. The program abruptly just terminates.

funny, since jedimark has one of those. perhaps you should argue with him about it

my main contribution was snarky comments and contributing dumps of the data from the 50I model, and letting mark play remote control of my system while connected to the 50i so he could see just what it was doing, and such

a lot of the figuring out work came from a guy in france that has a blue F who also provided data dumps, and helped decode the wierd data format that the contecs use.

it really is quite nice to be able to plug the thing in directly and pull data though

and, sleepyhead also sets the date/time on the device which is so much easier than doing it with that push and hold menu method the CMS50s use

SleepyHead 0.9.6 did not have a workaround for a firmware bug that affected some pre 3.7 firmware Contec CMS50's models... which included a lot of CMS50E's, and some earlier CMS50Fs. The devices live data stream sometimes "pushes through" and corrupts one or more of the record start headers (trios). 0.9.6 wasn't recognising corrupt headers properly, so just hung there waiting for a data to start, even though it already had.

Anyway, If your's didn't work before it should in the upcoming one.

Contec is a strange company... They use completely different protocols for the same product lines.. the new command driven CMS50F/I/H models are lightyears ahead of the old ones in firmware quality.

I may have lucked out with my (pre 3.7) 50F and got one of the few good ones, although my 50D+ never exhibited this behaviour either..

/Mark

well, bugger, guess i was wrong, maybe. though what jds said didn't seem to be what mark said.... but... moral of the story is... the new version works
