The data transmitted by modem is vastly inferior to the data on the SD card. It's only averages for the night, no airflow waveforms, no duration data, no indication of when the events happen during the night. Basically what you see in the pane with the pie chart and numbers on the left.
OMG, really!
I was assuming they saw what I did....

Yikes!!!!!

Thanks for this info....

What is the "provider's" explanation for the centrals? Is there an explanation?

No explanation, "different software algorithms"
Different from what?
What a load of crap.
Their software doesn't show centrals but your SleepyHead does?
Bull shit.
I don't know what data they are getting via the modem as in how detailed it is but Encore software is going to show the exact same thing that SleepyHead shows if they will bother using it.
Now if they are just getting the generic AHI via the modem with no event category breakdown...they are doing you a great disservice by not listening to you. Without the event category breakdown they only get the overall AHI with zero way to tell how many OAs and how many CAs (centrals).

I can get you Encore to use if you want it but I thought you had a Mac and that's why we didn't do Encore....

If they are saying your centrals aren't real because Sleepyhead isn't doing it right...let's send them a full Encore detailed report and slap them up the side of the head.
If you have a Mac and can't use Encore....I know a way for you to send me your data and I use my Encore and send you a nice Encore report back.
Encore is going to call the exact same things that SleepyHead calls....

I use Encore 2.2 as well as Sleepyhead on my PC...this is my Apple laptop, I am in the living room as its more comfy than
the upstairs, especially for the sleep depraved...

As of last Thursday, when I bought my machine, they aren't even using Encore, just the Sleepmapper, which is super basic and quite useless...

I would love to send them an Encore report....lol the trouble is I now don't have the raw data from June 26 thru August, just Sleepyhead/Encore data...

The data is still on the SD card from when you started therapy unless you erased it.
Though you really don't have to send detailed reports of everything...pick a couple of your worst nights and send the detailed Encore reports. They need to see the detailed reports that are ugly.

SleepMapper is all they use? POS. Useless POS for anything other than plain jane vanilla osa and the person's AHI is always less than 5.0.

Basic will let you generate a pdf report of the last 7 days...if that doesn't get their attention then they need to shut their doors because they don't have a clue what they are doing.

I was using a rental unit until last Thursday, the data card went back with it...I did not think to save the raw data

Once the rental period is over, yes, I was surprised, sort of..lol

I will see what I can do...

could be that the sooner you send them encore reports, the sooner you get the equipment that you need to get that sleep

Ah...I see now.

That old data may not be totally gone back with the loaner machine. I need to think on that a bit.

Did you use Encore with the loaner at all?

I have a bad headache right now and not thinking clearly. Didn't sleep well last night and it's catching up with me.
Thunder boomers pretty much all night last night so between the storms and the little dog that sleeps with me who is terrified of storms...not much sleep last night.

Not sure they care actually, they thought 13 -15 CAs an hour was OK....They are not concerned that my AHI gets below 10, that's for sure

I had to basically beg them to recommend a sleep study to my regular Doc...it has been a struggle...so I don't expect any change

The loaner machine data is still available in Encore unless you deleted it.
A bit tricky on how to pull those old reports but I know how to get it done if needed...though to be honest the recent last week's reports are enough (or should be enough) to get a doctor's attention.

I am going to bed early tonight I think. Headache is worse and I am fading fast.
Early for me is 11 PM if I last that long.

Though you know I just looked at my report from last night.....AHI 0.0... Of course that was with only 5 hours logged and I know for sure I was awake half that time as there is a break in therapy when I turned the machine off and got up to watch the storm....no sleep at all before that break.

Ahhh, the miracle of visual presentation....

Took laptop along to dr, she took one look at the graphs and the rest as they say was history...
She faxed a triage request to our only sleep lab in town, gave them some data from my Sleepyhead...
Have a referral emergency to respirologist and an ENT doc...we shall see what happens, but she is clearly worried that I
am in the shape I am...

Thanks again for all the help...

Taking a few nights off the machine, slept well last night, 4 hours, bathroom break then another 4...
no problem falling asleep, exhaustion does wonders for that..lol

all the best,

Stephen
