Deleting daily data from sleepyhead?

Post by bavinck » Thu Mar 20, 2014 7:52 am

I cannot for the life if me figure out how to permanently remove a day of data from the sleepyhead database. I do know how to remove the data (through the advanced options) which does remove the unwanted data from the statistics, but not from the overview. Then, when rebooted the data is right back. Does anyone know how to permanently remove a day of data from sleepyhead?

Easiest way that might do what you want would be to just go to the day in question detailed data and turn off the sessions for that day.
Sessions are available by scrolling down to the bottom past the statistics on the left side of the detailed page.
Click on the session(s) to turn them from green to red.
Overview should then show zeros for that day.

You could probably remove the data file, if you could find that, then reload all of your data. However, if you do that would the "missing" day not show up as an error because of less than 4 hours use of the machine?

Hey, nice tip about turning off sessions Pugsy! I had no idea you could do that and when I attempt to purge a day of data it just makes SH crash. It isn't a big deal, but it was a minor annoyance that I couldn't get rid of the initial dial-a-winging days where I tried to find my pressure needs without getting rid of my entire statistics history and starting over.

Yeah that purge function is buggier than all get out.
There is another way to remove the unwanted night's worth of data but it involves erasing the machine, the unwanted files on the SD card (or erasing the entire SD card) and starting a new profile in SleepyHead.
Lots of work and I am a lazy sot so I always try easiest way to do something first.

It is a fantastic idea, thanks from me too Pugsy. I actually have not even had 5 minutes to try this yet, but it is definitely on my to-do list.
