does sleep apnea affect work,i am a factory worker oparating machinery,i have just been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea,what should i do

It depends upon your symptoms. If you are sleepy/groggy while actively working it can be a real safety hazard. But some people are not sleepy if they are active. So that will depend upon how you feel and what your job is.

I drive a lot ( 2,500 to 3,000 miles a month)and was just diagnosed with sevier sleep apnea. The doctor told me not to drive until we could complete the tests with the CPAP and get everything working. That would mean I can't work. I don't know what I am going to do yet.
