RO (or r/o) water is reverse osmosis water, produced by passing the water through an osmotic filter designed to only (mostly) let water through and nothing else.

DME stands for Durable Medical Equipment and usually refers to the supplier, depending on context AFAIK (as far as I know).

Don't you just love TLA's (three letter acronyms).

If you click on the CPAPopedia icon (look above) you'll learn a lot about the different acronyms used here. You'll be a pro in no time.

Good advice. I've been reading this forum for awhile & I'm thankful to whomever 1st steered me to CPAPopedia. I still refer to it often.

Also, if you click on this link: Internet Acronyms it'll take you to a pretty comprehensive list of the acronyms (LOL, IMHO, etc.) in common use. Or just do a Google search for "Internet Acronyms" to get a whole list of dictionaries/glossaries. Unless you spend a lot of time in chat rooms, etc. these acronyms are really confusing & there's no way I want to waste the few brain cells I have left trying to memorize any number of them.
