Nasal Aire I or Nasal Aire II ?

Post by BrnEyez » Tue Dec 04, 2007 5:53 pm

How can I tell which one I have? The bag that was given to me from the Dr. had no markings on it. It appears from what I read that the Nasal Aire II is quieter and the garden hoses stuck up your nose are softer. I would like to know what I have before I call and ask for the Nasal Aire II to avoid appearing "stupid" if that's what I already have.

This forum is great. I have learned so much. Thank you.

If you look on the side of the cannula it should say. It is a bit hard to read but if you get it in a good light you should be able to read it. All my Nasal Aire II's are marked. The only difference in the I and the II is the cannula. The size can be found around the barrel where it connects to the hose.

I have to hold mine directly up to a lamp to read the embossed markings.

I've learned to "braille" them pretty good.

I don't know anything about NAI, but I hear that the cannulas are interchangeable between NAI and NAII. I think they are basically the same mask.

Good luck!

Should have been more clear in my question.
