Snoring on CPAP?

Post by meagan » Sat Sep 04, 2004 8:01 am

My husband got a CPAP two weeks ago but he still snores enough to wake me up. Is this normal?

Is a snore good?

Snoring on cpap may mean that his pressure is too low. Some people say it is normal for people to continue to snore on cpap, but after working as a Polysomnographic Techologist, I would have to say that snoring is not the norm.

You should contact your sleep clinic and explain the situation. It may be a simple as bumping your husband's pressure up 1cm.

Best Wisher,
