I HAVE A SOLUTION THAT WORKS VERY SATISFACTORILY FOR ME. NO NOISE AT ALL. I’m delighted with the AirMini. I’m attaching the video with my proposed solution:

1. It is not necessary to use distilled water. Any potable water is acceptable.

2. Breathing noise does not bother me.
