The silicone sheath of the CPAP mask is giving me wrinkles from nose to mouth and lines on my cheeks!

Post by Eolo72 » Sat Apr 11, 2026 3:13 pm

Greetings to all users,
I started using the CPAP about a year ago and undoubtedly the quality of my sleep and oxygenation has improved, but the mask worn every night (I have a Resmed Full Face Mask Airfit F20) is creating both compression wrinkles on both sides of my nose up to my mouth on both sides, as well as wrinkles on my cheeks from wearing these compresses every night... I know this is probably a request that many people won't be very interested in, but I was wondering if anyone who cares and has had the same problem, how did you solve it?

There are some various products of some sort designed for comfort as well as dent and wrinkle reduction.

I would ask ...How tight are you wearing your mask?

I started off wearing mine too tight and had similar issues... as well as it was uncomfortable.

Learnt by trial and error that a fairly loose fit works fine (with the correct mask) and it tightens up with the ramping.

I would say...I start with a loose mask that I can easily fit a finger under the straps at my cheeks.

I settled on an FP Evora Mask that is full face but nasal. This covers less face than any resmeds I tried.

Thank you, but I'm afraid of leak while sleeping. In my case I wear the stringh at half measure on small size mask and so I think is right (maybe)
