The water pot on my new Airsense 11 runs dry after 6 or 7 hours. My air pressure setting is 10. The humidy setting is 5, and the humidity in my bedroom is currently 65. Heated tube setting is 78 degrees. I don't understand how the company's Product Development could have approved a water pot mistake like this.

The problem is not design--it is the organism attached to the mask.

Re: Resmed 11 humidity pot runs out of water
I am experiencing the same thing. I never used more than half a tank with the Resmed10. Now on both Auto/Auto and Humidity 4 and Temp 84 am running out of water if I sleep 7 or more hours. When this happens, I awaken to a smell of burning metal or wire. This is concerning ... maybe the thing can catch fire. My provider rep even told me that the tank is only good for 6 hours and that one is supposed to wake up in the middle of the night to fill it. Are they crazy? Why does the 11 need to use so much more water than the 10 anyways. Like the user below who is returning to his cancer causing Phillips, I may have to return to my Resmed 10 with its leaky water tank. And if with the leak, it still had water in the tank at the end of the night!

I had to return my AirSense 11 for an AisSense 10 due to the smell and taste of burning electrical insulation from the 11. (humidty not activated) Others have had the same problem with the 11. I thought there may have been a recall on the offending 11s.Resmed11user wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2024 12:49 amWhen this happens, I awaken to a smell of burning metal or wire. Re: Resmed 11 humidity pot runs out of water
Hi, I'm new to your chat room. In fact this is my first chat ever. I am a resmed 11 user as well. I have been experiencing the same issues with the water running out and especially the burning smells. I have been trying to deal with the bad burning smell trying different things over the last over 2 yrs. And it seems to have gotten worse and more frequent. However, my question is a bit more serious and I am searching to see if there is a connection with this issue. Surprisingly I was recently diagnosed with Lung Cancer - I have Pulmonary Carcinoid tumors in my Right lung. This is a very rare cancer and I am not a typical Lung cancer candidate. I'm a non-smoker, have not been exposed to any environment type things that could be a catalyst for this type of thing. My concern is that the exposure to this burning smell I get in my nose, which literally causes me to wake up out of a sound sleep because my nose is so irritated and will remain irritated often throughout my day, and smells like burning chemicals is possibly linked. Has anyone been recently diagnosed with lung cancer or experiencing Asma type issues either for the first time or more frequently than usual. It concerns me that this is a machine that literally forces this toxic smelling air into our lungs and surprise surprise when i call for a service on my machine they act like they have not heard of it before and immediately start blaming the supplies not the machine. Maybe it is the supplies but I'd like answers. I am facing serious treatments including surgery to remove the tumors which will impact my quality of life. If you have any type of lung cancer or are experiencing more Asma type symptoms please lets talk. Thanks so much.
