OT: supplemental oxygen?

Post by zonker » Tue Mar 11, 2025 11:06 am

I know that this isn't a medical forum. i'm merely asking after the experience of others.

how did you know it was time to add supplemental oxygen to your cpap? I realized the medical answer is to get an o2 ring and test yourself overnight. I'm wondering more of just how you thought it might be time to do that. 02 rings aren't cheap and *I* am!

why i'm asking is that I've developed vertigo over the course of a few months. doctor google thinks that low ox levels COULD be a cause of vertigo.

opinions pls?
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Most DMEs will provide a professional oximeter for a one or two-night study. They will send the report to your doctor.

The DME needs an order from your doctor - any doctor, doesn't have to be a sleep doctor.

I should have mentioned the oximeter and report is provided free of charge.

That's amazing, we share the same doctor.

I have been using supplemental Oxygen since about 1 month before I started APAP.

I am not quite as cheap as you. I just bought my third Contec CMS50i. the rechargeable batteries died in the first 2 years ago. The new one uses a USB C cable and I am not strong enough to plug it into the watch. I can't get a response from Contec as to how to deal with the difficult connection.

May I recommend Dr. Vinnie Boombatz?

Where is Dr Vinnie located?
I hope he isn't in Chicago. That is too far from San Diego to travel for a Dr appointment.

He's wherever Rodney is. I hope they both have been getting some respect.
