AirSense 11 w zero miles lol

Long story short. Been wo my machine since early November. Sent to a place in Florida for warrenty repair. They sent it to res med I think bc the motherboard had known issues. So a few weeks pass and I get an email saying RM is giving me a brand new machine w 2 yr warranty. Was supposed to be here next Monday but arrived today! I was thrilled! Been in and out of hospital last 13 mths. I sleep a lot. My machine had over 6500 hours on it and was used less than 1 1/2 yrs.
So anyway put it together, filled water, attached hoses, went through set up, put on nasal pillows and boom! Hose leak warning. Tired do I grabbed the new heated one and same warning. Warning also mentioned humidifier and I’ll be the arse of the day and say that when I filled the thing it sounded squeaky. Freaking door does not seal !!! Grabbed duct tape. No good. So I shot off an email to Florida stating the problem. Anyone have a clue where I left the chamber when I sent mine to Florida??? I mean they tell you not to send it. I’ll look more tomorrow. This just bites!

I've seen more than one report saying the humidifier on the 11 has to be inserted precisely. If not - leaks.

Is there a reason I always keep at least one backup water chamber, heated hose and mask of choice?

Sounds pretty accurate. Given the amount of pain meds I’ve been on last 13 mths along with the Dr recommended medical pot in the evening, it’s a miracle I know my own name. Got a letter from Florida telling me squeaky unifier chamber normal and just okay with it using some force to get it to set in machine.

Because you are smart, I am smart too just highly unorganized the past year. Came close to death from sepsis and necrotizing fasciitis in 2024 and gave had sepsis twice last month.

I’m just going through all my stuff and purging! So today I found the extra brand new chamber under my bed in a bin. Guess what? Resmed changed those so the old chambers are too big for new machines! I thought they replaced my resmed 11 with the same machine but this new one is the sleek version lol. So I tell myself, okay I can do this. I’ll smack the humidifier till it seals. Oh crap. Find the cord. Old cord does not fit!!! No longer the narrow tube you push in. Now it’s like an hdmi plug! Where did I put the new cord? Checked trash lol. Daughter found it in box with my purewick! Yes! The cpap works and is so quiet it’s ridiculous! I’m still looking for the cpap suitcases that have all my hoses etc. I found the one with all my nasal pillows and headgear and filters!
Worst thing I ever did was buy a metal frame for my new bed. No box spring so you can put a tin of Rubbermaid totes under it. All organized but I can’t lay on floor to pull them out! Also mattress top is 28 inches from floor. I had to buy a step up stool to get in bed. Back to digging around in here!

My usual strategy when I can't find something I really need is to buy a new one. Guaranteed as soon as you do that, the one you were looking for will show up.

I think I got it down now. Place humidifier in as far as you can then use right hand to pop it on the butt and it goes right in! Practiced this evening. It’s so quiet!
