Cpap tubing

Post by Plippy » Sat Mar 08, 2025 11:57 pm

I recently got my restock equipment for my Cpap. I notice they sent bigger tubing. I was using slim tubing when I started off 4 months ago. Do I need to change tubing in settings in Resmed from slim tubing to standard?

If it were me I'd contact the DME and tell them to send the slim tubing you are accustomed to using and what they supplied previously. I know I sleep better with a slimmer tube than the larger one.

If you do use the larger hose you should use the setting in the Resmed machine for Standard.

Just so you know, slim tubing costs about $4 more than regular tubing, but "slimline" tubing costs about $30 more.

When I had CPAP coverage with Kaiser, my prescription was for the slimline tubing and Crapria switched me to the regular tubing instead--higher profit margin for Crapria. Even when I complained to Kaiser, they would only send out slim tubing, not slimline. They all fall under the same billing code.
