fixed pressure vs. auto adjusting pressure
I've been experimenting with fixed pressure some nights compared with auto adjusting pressure and wonder what thoughts others have. I realize this is debatable, and I certainly don't advocate one over the other. Just wondering about the views of others.

Re: fixed pressure vs. auto adjusting pressure
It's a personal question, and not debatable.
Things to consider:
Nobody does well on APAP if the minimum pressure is too low.
Some people are sensitive to pressure changes - the changes disturb their sleep. These do better on CPAP.
Other people have extremely varying pressure needs, e.g. terrible obstructive apneas in REM, and not otherwise. If the pressure changes only for that phase, they may do much better with APAP.
Some people have a breathing pattern that the machine's algorithm mis-identifies - and that makes their pressure zoom endlessly.
Only your experience and your data will tell you which group you belong to.
