Retitration

Post by Stube » Mon Feb 03, 2025 9:13 pm

I have been on bipap for 15 years. My apneas were 10 six months ago 2 weeks ago they were up to 14. My pulmonologist wants a retitration to see if I need a different type machine. I have a Resmed Aircurve 10 Vauto. My pressurers are 24/10. What other machine is there? Pugsy I'm depending on you for your knowledge.

Huh???? Your inhale is 24 and exhale is 10?????
Please check your settings? This doesn't compute well.

There are lots of different machines out there and which one you might need depends on what is going on with your AHI.

Can you post an OSCAR report please.

Do you mean to say that you are using VAuto mode with Max IPAP = 24 and Min EPAP = 10?

If so, what's your PS setting?

Are you talking about the AHI your VAuto reports each night?

If so, do you know what the breakdown of events is? In other words, what does your machine say your AI is? And what does your machine say your CAI is? Answers to those questions would go a long way towards answering what kind of machine your pulmonologist might be thinking you need. It would also be useful if we knew how much time you were spending with IPAP = 24 cm H2O and whether the events recorded at high pressures are OAs or CAs.

Also worth asking: Has your health changed significantly in the last 15 years? Any new diagnoses since then? Any know heart problems. Any lung or respiratory problems other than the sleep apnea?
