Resmed AirTouch N31i vs. AirFit N30i comments please
I've been using the Respironics DreamWear Nasal cradle mask and the similar ResMed AirFit N30i nasal cradle mask for a few years now -- adjusted for a somewhat loose, comfortable fit and accepting some leakage. I see ResMed has made some changes to the AirFit and offers the reconfigured mask as a newer model, the AirTouch N30i. Figuring that some AirFit N30i (and DreamWear Nasal cradle) users have gone on to try the AirTouch, if you're one of them, please let me know how the AirTouch compares; i.e. which you preferred and why. Thanks in advance.

Did you read the rankings and reviews on cpap.com?

Yes, Granny, but not much there so far as comparing these masks. Have you used these masks?

No, I use the AirFit F30i. Great mask. No cloth liner needed. Leaks not a problem.
Are you thinking you need the cloth cover that is built-in to the N30i? For leak prevention or comfort? I don't think it would be needed for leak prevention. Nor for comfort unless with sensitive skin.
YMMV
I try to buy from my B&M local provider. They use the manufacturer's 30-day exchange program. You have to do a virtual fitting. I just tried a newer mask. Didn't like it. Exchanged right away for another F30i. They don't want the first mask back.

I really was just wondering whether AirTouch N30i users found anything particularly special about the mask that made them prefer it over the AirFit N30i that I've been using for a long time. Thanks for your comment about the extra cloth covering. I too doubt that there's much added benefit. Be well, Granny.

I just received the new Airtouch n30i. Everyone is different but for me the cushion is more comfortable than the all silicone cushion.

What is the cleaning routine? I am concerned that the fabric would get dirty quickly and be difficult to clean. With a silicone mask, you just use an alcohol wipe each day.

I prefer the AirFit N30i to the new AirTouch model. The AirTouch is very comfortable but moves too easily and causes leaks that I don't experience with the AirFit. The tackiness of the AirFit N30i mitigates that problem.

Clean it with soap and water and squeeze the excess water out. Dries very quickly.

Re: Resmed AirTouch N31i vs. AirFit N30i comments please
I've been using the AirTouch N30i for a couple of weeks now. I replaced the headgear (the back strap) with the Dreamwear Headgear w/Arms, because that setup helps to keep the whole thing from sliding over my long hair (sleeping with my hair up gives me a headache). Works great that way. So far, my leak rate seems to have gone down with the new mask, plus I do find it more comfortable and possibly a little quieter. As for cleaning...I just don't. I stopped bothering to clean my masks years ago. When they feel like they're starting to collapse, I replace them. As far as I know, I haven't gotten sick yet. Anyway, the fabric on this looks as if it might dry pretty quickly (as one user pointed out in this thread). If someone is a clean-every-day type person, I'd recommend keeping two masks going at once, and alternating every other night. That way you always know you have a dry one, just in case. Just my two cents.
I'm going to go back to the AirFit N30i for a week or so just to see if the leaks go up again. After that, I'll decide if I'm going to switch permanently.
I don't know if any of that was helpful. I hope it was.

Just to repeat, I clean the Airtouch daily and it dries quite quickly.
