OSCAR loaded normally. Nothing happened when I loaded the SD Card into my computer. I checked the SD card and found no errors. All my data seemed to be intact. The problem first occurred on 11/24/24.
Has anyone had a recent problem with Oscar?

Does the SD Card slot have a problem?MalabarFlash wrote: ↑Mon Nov 25, 2024 2:38 pmOSCAR loaded normally. Nothing happened when I loaded the SD Card into my computer. I checked the SD card and found no errors. All my data seemed to be intact. The problem first occurred on 11/24/24.
On my rather aging 2012 MacBook Pro, the SD card slot is a bit picky. Sometimes it just doesn't mount the card properly when I insert it. The fix for me is to take the card back out and reinsert it. I know that if the Mac Finder can "find" the SD card, it's been mounted and Oscar can pull the data from the card. But if the Mac Finder can't "find" the SD card, it's not been mounted to the operating system and hence Oscar can't pull the data.
If you are using a PC, there is still a file browser that shows everything that's been mounted. When you insert the SD card into the SD card slot, does it show up in your file browser? If not, the pull the card back out and reinsert it.

Re: OSCAR DOES NOT RECOGNIZE SD DATA CARD
Thank you for the suggestions. My Win 11 PC does not have a SD card slot. The SD to USB device I use has been working for months. I uninstalled OSCAR and tried to install the latest version. McAffee virus claimed the download was safe but Windows Defender warned against installation. OSCAR 1.5.3 - Win64 I don't know what version I uninstalled. I did not find a source of previous stable versions.

Just now, I blew through all the warnings, including the one from Windows Defender, and updated my version. Over the years, I have done this every time because Windows doesn't certify OSCAR. Everything is fine.MalabarFlash wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 12:42 pmMcAffee virus claimed the download was safe but Windows Defender warned against installation. The link for the latest download (Version 1.5.3) is in the second topic above.
