Hello! I've used an APAP for a few years now after my sleep study confirmed that I have severe sleep apnea. The machine seems to be mostly doing it's job because I generally have an AHI of 0.8 to 1.5. However, I still wake up quite a few times during the night and can't get a solid night's sleep. After reading about people's experience on this forum, I finally got an SD card and downloaded OSCAR to see what was going on. I'll paste a screenshot here but I don't know if it has everything we need to look at on it.
You'll see the min pressure is on 12. My doc initially had it on 5-15, but I was still having events so I changed it to 10-15 which decreased the AHI. Over the past few weeks, I've noticed that the average pressure (AirSense 10, by the way), is around 12-13 so I've been trying 12 as a minimum. I've also been tinkering with EPR: off, 1, 2, 3 but I still having the problem of waking up. The EPR feels a bit more comfortable but I don't know if it helps anything.
Please help! I would love to get a solid night's sleep. Thank you!!
Keep waking up

Re: Keep waking up
First off: whatever changes you make, stick to them for a number of nights unless they're catastrophic. Your body has to get used to the changes. 5 days, or even a week.
Second: When I look at your data, I see repeated cycles of flow limitations appearing -> pressure rises -> leading to mitigation of flow limitations -> leading to drop in pressure -> flow limitations re-appear rinse and repeat....
The flow limitations could be waking you up.
Now, its possible you simply need a higher minimum pressure, to make sure the return to minimum won't let the flow limitations reappear.
So maybe that's the first thing you should try.
From what I see at this chart of one night, the first thing I'd do is keep the minimum at 13. All those drops to 12 are doing you no good.

Re: Keep waking up
Thanks for the reply, ozij!
I had made some adjustments, actually, on the following night. I lowered the min to 11 and increased the EPR to 3. I'm still brand new to Oscar, but it looks like the flow limitations were actually better with the new settings. I still kept waking up so I feel the same, though. I'll attach a new screenshot.
