OSCAR 1.5.3 is now available for downloading. This is a maintenance release. If you are running 1.5.1 or greater, you should be getting a notification within OSCAR if you have the Automatically check for updates selected in your Preferences → General tab.

Re: Sticky:OSCAR v1.5.3 is Available
Please help. I'm not able to use OSCAR because Windows refuses to go past this message after I download the OSCAR exe: "Windows cannot access the specified device path or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access the item." (I was able to download the OSCAR version v1.5.3 because I temporarily shut down my antivirus "Shield" & put an icon on my desktop, but the same message comes up.)
How do you get past Windows and use OSCAR? I need a program to teach me about sleep issues, CPAP/BiPap, etc.
Thanks!

I just downloaded it... it downloaded normally, into the browser button at upper right (Chrome, Win10). ***Make sure you only download it from the source***.OldBipapUser wrote: ↑Thu Jun 20, 2024 7:38 pmHow do you get past Windows and use OSCAR? There are scammer versions out there.
I clicked the button and got a Windows Defender dialog, 'Windows protected your PC'. I clicked 'More Info' (I think) and got access to a Run Anyway button.
Since I had Oscar running, and had the 'Update Available' dialog displayed, I went through a little hiccup getting it to install... after closing the dialog and Oscar it installed fine.
SleepHQ is another resource that is 'in the cloud', in that you don't use an application, you use a website. Basically it's Oscar in the cloud... you start a free account, upload your SD card, then you get access to the graphs. Best part is that you can now share links to the data, either one night or the whole account, anonymously. Oscar is better for home use, SHQ is better for getting help online (like here)... just much easier to zoom around in Oscar, you can magnify the graphs vertically etc but sharing screenshots of Oscar not near as helpful as SHQ links.

Here's my last night, for instance:
