Putting on FFM mask

Post by Bobo97272 » Wed Nov 15, 2023 1:10 pm

Just wondering if most users adjust the straps on their mask every night?

I'm having a heck of a time trying to get leaks under control, and of course I don't know about the large leaks until the next day.
When I put the mask on, I don't hear or feel any leaks, I use the mask pressure function to test it out on high pressure. after that I think I'm set to go.
I've tried fiddling with the straps, but still seem to get large leaks every night.

using a F20 mask with Resmed 11 Autoset, also switched out the tubing in case leaks were there. My average large leak time over the past three weeks is 56%.

What machine are you using?

Where are you getting the number "56%" time in large leak from?

How long have you been using cpap...and how long with this mask?

Are you using the mask fit option when lying down? (you should)
Are you testing the mask fit in you favorite sleep position?
Do you try some turning over in bed when you're awake? There are ways of turning that will dislodge the mask, and others that will give better results.
Did you try to figure out - when you're awake - how to change position in bed without dislodging the mask?
And then, depending on your favorite sleep position, you may find a different kind of head pillow, could help you manage leaks better.

I have only one sleeping position, in a recliner at about a 45% angle with feet elevated. I am unable to rotate my shoulders and cant roll on my side. Very limited movement of my head. In order to do the pressure test while in the recliner, I have my husband select the mask test option, I'll try that tonight.

Since you have the F20 try the Memory Foam insert one time if you haven't already done so.

Airtouch is being ordered. Thank.
While waiting, do folks normally adjust the straps every night, or is it a ‘set it and forget it’ until they see leaks increasing , going into large leak region.
