I had my at home sleep study done through Singular Sleep. They have their own sleep Dr and they also sell pap machines, masks, supplies...etc.
I've always wondered if a place like that might find more "positive" results for sleep apnea through their study since they also sell the equipment.
I mean how would you really know that you don't if they say you do unless you do another study somewhere else. I hate to think things like that but I've always been a little curious about it.

When the person doing the diagnosis also sells the remedy, there is always a potential for conflict of interest. In the case of a sleep study, you can ask for the study report and see what the numbers are - post it here if you need help to interpret it.

if it was me, I'd shy away from "all in one" places. As was stated, be sure you get a copy of your sleep report. I've been on cpap therapy almost 13 years, and I still get asked for my sleep study.

As others have said, just get a copy of the sleep study. In the US, it's your legal right. Most HST companies send a copy without asking.

Now, I guess they could take someone else's study and put your name on it. But that seems a bit far-fetched.

I had my initial HST done by a CPAP vendor.

Confirmed the condition in an hospital sleep lab.

FWIW the AHI results from the CPAP seller was twice that from the sleep lab (58 vs 29)

I wasn’t a borderline case, but I’d be inclined to believe the vendor would had shaded the results to sell the equipment had I been on the borderline.

Most people who get tested are referred because of evidence that they have apnea.
In many cases, the test is little more than a formality to authorize insurance coverage.
If you are not "married" to the one-stop shop, you might do well to shop around for your equipment.
