What setting on your humidifier are you using?
Are you battling congestion during the day as well as at night? Is night worse? Lets see if adding in some EPR helps..or not...reduce the activity on the FL graph.
Thanks Pugsy! I feel much better than yesterday, for sure.

I am using the humidifier at 6. It goes up to 8, if I remember correctly.

I do have a bit of congestion during the day, but it is normally worse when I lay down and when I wake up in the morning. I will post tomorrow the data after activating the EPR tonight.

It's good to hear things are looking up for you! You're right; one thing at a time. The EPR may or may not help reduce your FLs or improve the quality of your sleep, but it can't hurt and is worth trying. Keep us posted!

Overall, what do you think of tonight's graph?
it's much better, I'd say to let it ride for a couple days and see what that brings, you might need a little more min, maybe 15, we'll see.

I'm dubious about the EPR helping, but anything's possible.

Thanks a lot for your suggestion, it was right on the spot. I will keep it at 14 for tonight and try EPR (one thing at a time!). Let's see the results afterwards, and then I will try with or without EPR (depending on the results) with 15 min.

Amazing forum, thank you everyone for your help.

Bear in mind, when wanting to change one thing a day, sleep varies from night to night.

i'm quoting this to emphasize it to the op and any other noobie reading this.

what palerider said is one of THE hardest lessons i've learned in my cpap journey. at first, it made no sense to me. what? how could such a thing BE?

but years later, experience has taught me again and again that "sleep varies from night to night".

this is why you'll see our smartest forum members telling new users to make one change and let it alone for several nights. needs time to get through all that variance and settle down.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Hell...it varies hourly each night as well.

That's quite right, but I wanted to ease into that :)

Hello all!

Two nights passed, so I got new graphs to share. First night I got an AHI of 5 and the second one, 2.4. It is worth noting that the first night was a bit strange, I went to bed quite late and woke up kind of early. Second one I got to bed late as well (Go Celtics!) but I could sleep for much longer. After the AHI 5 night I was moderately tired, but I think that is a consequence of sleeping less hours than normal.

Changes: For the first one, I left Min pressure at 14 and activated EPR. For the second one, I left EPR on but increased min. pressure to 15.

I personally did not appreciate being uncomfortable with 15 min. pressure at all, and I feel like I slept the whole night in one go. I feel very rested and well today.

First (short) night:

Second (Better, longer) night:

Going from untreated AHI 77 to AHI 2.4 sounds like a dream to me. If it wasn't for your help and resources, I would still be using the unmodified CPAP and getting an average of AHI 9.5. So thank you very much everyone, you are absolute heroes.

EDIT: I think I should leave the parameters as they are currently for some time, and maybe come back after a week or two, to share the week data and see if anything should be changed. What do you think?

How come you have EPR set to "ramp only"? Any special reason?

Any nasal congestion going on?

And yes...the general idea is get close with any setting adjustments that don't seem to be causing a problem and stick with those settings for a week or two and look for trends as well as how we sleep and feel.

Great to hear things are looking up for you! Your EPR is on for your ramp period only, so go back into the settings to make sure it's on for your whole night. Do then stick with the same settings for a week or two, as others have suggested.

Didn't see the option to set it otherwise, it only has an on/off option. I will check again later, maybe I am missing where it is.

Look again. You just missed it.
EPR is
On
Off
Ramp only

Hello all again,

It has been 2 weeks. For a few days in the beginning I used EPR, getting between 4 and 5 events. I switched it off, and my score has been stable between 1 and 2 since then. Overall I feel better although still a bit tired, but I think it has more to do with sleeping less than 8 hours and also because it has not been a month since I started using a CPAP.

Thanks all for your help. I will post again if anything changes, and to report after 1 month of use.
