Any recent changes in medication, either the med or the dosage? A number of medications cause dry mouth. BTW, Xylamelts come in two flavors. There are other brands, but I only know of Xylamelts having the adhesive back that sticks to your cheek, gum, or roof of mouth. This is important so you do not swallow/choke on the tablet in your sleep. The adhesive itself melts away once the tab is gone. One lasts me about 4 hours.
Good luck!

Meds all the same but I will try to find those mints!

the xlymelts should be in your grocery or drugstore in the dental hygiene section along side the toothpaste.

or if not there, on amazon.

they work a treat!
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Thx. I ordered them on Amazon earlier. Not sure I need them but am curious about the adhesion that keeps you from choking during sleep but then dissolved too. Lol

There are two sides to a xylamelt tab.... a white, domed side, and a tan, more flat side. It's the tan side that is the adhesive side and goes against your cheek, gum, or the roof of your mouth.

I really suspect it’s vaping that causes it. The nights I don’t get sticky mouth probably are edible nights. I prefer edibles but sometimes I forget to do one and they can take 45 minutes or more to work. Vape is close to two minutes.
You may have found your culprit here and it may just be medication side effects.
We don't necessarily think of THC stuff as a medication but it's just a drug like any other drug/medication that we might take and it has side effects as well.

I have the same problem. Mouth sticking .
Usually happens in the morning. But I know how powerful the stick is, very uncomfortable.

I'll try Biotene. I know it keeps your mouth moist. Will keep you posted on the results.

Thanks for the tip.

Never cared for any mouthwash. I don’t drink either so maybe it’s that alcohol taste. Last night was fine. It’s not an every night occurrence. Scares me when it happens though.
Say what? Alcohol taste? You do know that not every mouthwash contains alcohol, right? Biotene doesn't.

Many mouthwashes produce dry mouth because of the alcohol they contain.
Look for a non-alcohol mouthwash.

Been on cpap for more than 20 yrs. Use nasal pillows since they came out. Last 6 months or so several times at night my mouth sticks together. It wakes me and is scary! I use a humidifier. I don’t mouth breathe. No mask leaks.

I sleep on my left side only. Can’t sleep in right side due to CGM sensor. I’ve slept on my side since I was little. Any ideas?
When I had this issue the heater in the cpap humidifier had died. I get a little bit of moisture from natural evaporation but not enough to keep everything moist.

When you get up in the morning is the heater under the water chamber warm to the touch or is it cold? Have you noticed if the water chamber has more water in it after a nights sleep than it used to before your mouth sticking problem?

I hadn’t considered that. I only remove the humidifier chamber before bed to fill and weekly to clean but that’s early evening. Thank you! I will check that.

EDIT: I turned humidifier up to 6 just because. Machine say heat okay. Woke a few hours later and plate was very warm and water chamber down quite a bit. I don’t recall when or why I lowered the humidity. I used to run it at 5. Possible 3 was too dry although as I originally said this does not happen every night! Well it’s a start for now!

Great! I am happy to hear you found the problem! I have 2 Philips system one CPAPs with bad heaters. Luckily Philips is replacing them under the recall.
