Having never used an AS10 I can't compare .. But I fill the tank to the minium level with humidity set at 3 get about 7 to 8 hours ..
Filling to the maxium level there was always water left in the tank .. Equipment supplier said to dump it out each morning and
dry with a towel insert back into machine .. It has a cool down cycle to dry the hose that runs for 30 minutes .. I was told to use distilled
water .. Which I need to buy .. I try not to throw out any more then I have to .. I would think water consumption would very by relative
humidity in the location of use .. But the only time My machine runs dry is when I short fill it or sleep longer then planned .. Being retired
I sometimes sleep in .. I have read reports of AS10 users going two or more days on one tank of water I will say in My experience the AS11
won't do that .. Any other questions feel free to ask .. Best of luck with Your new machine .. Steve
Thanks Sauerkraut......do you use the heated hose. I've only used the regular hose but will need to decide if I want the heated hose.

The humidity in your home may have some bearing on water use, as well;
but it is true that reviewers are not always as observant as we think.
Thank you, good point. I typically use a lower humidity setting since I added a humidifier to my furnace..so I should be fine. I don't mind changing water daily but definitely would not want to run out during the night

My second AS10 is a couple of years old, so I will probably be getting an eleven
when the time comes. I like touch screens . . .
I like touch screens too. Hopefully the phone app will be good also.

Resmed hasn't changed capacity since 2010 when the S9 was introduced, (can't speak to the S8
Actually the S8 or H4i water chamber had a 390 ml capacity.
Tiny reduction in capacity with the S9 and now the other new models. Not really enough to make much difference.
That's two teaspoonfuls...

I do have a heated hose .. My supplier sent it with the machine .. I don't know if it is really needed ..
I think it quit working about a month after I received it, and I've only had rain out 1 night when the room
temperture dropped down in the 40s ..
If it comes with the machine go ahead and use it .. You can turn it off in the clinicians menu if You want ..
Best of luck .. Steve

I am returning my AirSense 11 today for an AirSense 10. The 11, I picked up last week has loose fiber filters and the air from it has a chemical smell. Out of 5 CPAP machines with various filters, this is the first one I have seen that does not have the filter fibers encapsulated in membrane like cover. I have a link to a photo comparison on a post.

Maybe the chemical smell is due to new plastic off gassing.
Maybe the filters with the machine are a defective batch.
Not sure, so back it goes for the 10. I understand it will continue to be supported.

I’m new to cpap and was issued the airsense 11. I’m noting comments about the capacity of the humidifier tank for the airsense 10 and 11 where those using the airsense 10 don’t have to fill their tanks as often. So this leaves me to believe that a person’s humidity levels needs should be taken into consideration. I’m been using my airsense 11 since august 2022. I’ve had to adjust the humidity and heating settings to combat rainout. The higher the humidity settings the more often I had to refill my tank (nightly or every other night). I’ve recently settled on a setting of 2. At this level i found I can run my machine for up to 3 days before I clean and refill the tank.

Will I be able to find the software easily?
Pretty easy..OSCAR will work and here it is

OSCAR https://www.sleepfiles.com/OSCAR/
http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph ... stallation
http://www.apneaboard.com/wiki/index.ph ... rpretation
Thanks for the software link! I'm getting my Airsense 11 on the 13th. I have a newer labtop which im also adjusting to. Do you know if I will download clinical dats through a SD card or if wireless? Ill need to get a card reader as my laptop doesn't have one if its SD. I stopped tracking data by computer a few years ago because my computer was old...im feeling rusty but excited!

To use OSCAR you will need SD card and card reader.

The only thing wireless is the machine using cellular transmission to go to ResMed's MyAir service for users.

Now there is a way to set up using a WiFi SD card for wireless transmission of data to your computer but not easy and not cheap.

At my settings, I get two night from a full tank. With the massive amount of rain we've had here in southern CA lately, I've been getting 3 nights. It easier to spill water from a full tank. I found the solution to that was to tilt the tank towards the fat end when moving it.

Many are still sticking with the Air10 as replacement machines, but it is becoming difficult to get one with a modem.
Explain, please, why does a СPAP car need a modem?

The CPAP machines use the cellular modem to transmit your data to the Resmed cloud. My results show up in Resmed's MyAir app, and my sleep doc can also see it to see how I'm doing.

Why transfer data to Resmed's MyAir app if you have an Oscar?
