The increase in your AHI is currently coming mostly from central apneas. Those are pauses in your breathing that last for 10 seconds or more. I'm going to guess they mostly represent "sleep-wake junk," that is, the irregularities that go with arousal breathing. If that's right, then the CAs aren't the real problem; the arousals are the problem. Many of the CAs seem to be associated with leaks, which may be fully or partially waking you up, so on to that topic.

You are having leaks -- sometimes large leaks -- and because you use the Bleep, the leaks are almost certainly due to your mouth opening. That will dry your mouth out big time. The solution will probably not come from changes in humidity or temperature but from keeping your mouth closed. Are you open to experimenting with mouth tape?

Now why all this started when you got your new machine I do not know. I hope other forum members will chime in on that one! But I think if you can solve the leak problem, you'll sleep more soundly, with fewer CAs, and your mouth will stop feeling like the Sahara.
