Re: Oscar
Oscar is not a phone App. It is a software program on your computer. You move the data from your S9 to Oscar with an SD Card.

The computer must be either Windows or a Mac.
Nothing is yet available for Android devices.
I do not believe Android is incapable of processing the data, but
the developers choose to ignore Android for their own reasons.

Re: Oscar
Or Linux
Porting OSCAR to mobile, while certainly possible, is fraught with challenges. Portraying it as the developers have chosen to ignore is disingenuous. Specifically:chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 10:42 amNothing is yet available for Android devices.

- When SleepyHead (OSCAR) was first developed, mobile development was not nearly as feasible as it is now
- The current OSCAR team, have done a lot, but major re-devolpment and changes is not something thay have tackled yet
- Getting the data to mobile is problematic, there still is the challenge of mobile reading the SD Card. Yes, I know mobile SD Readers are available, but few have them.
- The Graphics package used in OSCAR (QT), isn't ported to mobile
- OSCAR uses a fair amount of local storage, terrible waste of storage on mobile devices
- Mobile porting is not as simple as take the UI and make it fit on a phone. The current OSCAR screens would need a lot more redesign and UI effort to be useful on mobile
- More challenges, to numerous to list here

Re: Oscar
I still believe there is snobbery involved.

Re: Oscar
It's not snobbery, it's finding programmer(s) that have the time to port the application to a completely different platform.
Yes, today's phones and tablets could handle it, (my oscar data folder has 7 gig in it) though it might be kinda slow at times.
It's relatively easy to make windows/mac/linux versions because the framework that the program has options for that.
What it would take to get it to run on android, I dunno, but I imagine it would be a lot of work.

Re: Oscar
I agree with palerider that it's not snobbery on the part of the programmers of Oscar and SleepyHead. They've donated many hours and much skill to creating these programs, debugging them, and making them available to us for free.palerider wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 1:17 pmIt's not snobbery, it's finding programmer(s) that have the time to port the application to a completely different platform.

In other words, all of the hard work programmers have already put into Oscar has basically been for free. And porting a project like Oscar to a mobile platform would involve a significant amount of additional work.
And folks would no doubt expect that any port to a mobile platform like Android or iOS would also still be available for free. So that would mean the programmers donating even more of their time and skill to a project with no expectation of being remunerated.

Re: Oscar
One of the big differences between the author of sleephead and the the people contributing to Oscar... Sleepyhead brought in many thousands of dollars in donations, in addition to a donation drive conducted over on Apneaboard. There was a lot of ego and self serving involved in that.robysue1 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 09, 2023 2:08 pmI agree with palerider that it's not snobbery on the part of the programmers of Oscar and SleepyHead. The Oscar people won't even accept donations, they are doing it purely to help people.

Re: Oscar
Your very own thread - here - is a perfect place to post the results, and you can rename the thread to something more informative, e.g. M3GG's therapy. You do that buy clicking on the pencil icon and editing the subject.
Who chose 19.2 as your fixed pressure, and why?
You have very few indications of obstructions. But many of restless sleep and leaks.
Why only 3 hours on the 5th? did you sleep at all?
On the 8th, the leaks are dreadful, and seem to be messing up your breathing (all those CA's during and after large leaks) and my guess it they are almost all of them Sleep Wake Junk - i.e. indicators of your being woken up by the leaks.
As a rule, leaks are harder to control when the pressure is higher - so please tell us more about you present therapy setting - and also, how you chose your examples. Did you use the CPAP at all on the 6th and 7th?

BUTTTT even tho the F30i fits better my AHI is back up to 45!!! Wake up with mouth open which is weird I cant figure out why tho ...the 2 masks are so similar and the f30i fits better but not working like the f30 ...ANYONE know what it could be???
Which mask were you using in each example? What happened to your pressure between your first post, in December, and now?
