feel confined

Post by nic50 » Sun Jan 29, 2023 8:42 pm

Having trouble using a cpap, feel confined and cannot go to sleep, wake up water gone, mouth dry, can not swallow. Any recommendations? Also best full face mask, for someone that moves frequently. thanks

Hi, welcome to this place

We'd like to help (most have been uncomfortable with masks on til they get sorted out, but we need to know which model of what mask you have to help... until then (and please stay in this thread) wear the mask - no machine attached - while watching TV, reading, etc etc which can help get you used to it being on... and if it turns out that a diff. mask would be better for you (there are very many) we'll suggest it too. I can't imagine not wearing my mask now - but it's been a while.

Need to know the model of which machine you have - on Cpap or Apap mode? And if you know pressure settings (min/max) it would be very helpful. Do you take any meds?

What were your test results?

Since you woke up, you did get to sleep.
So you are actually doing better than you thought.
It is happening; but, as usual, it takes longer than we like.
Welcome to the same boat as the rest of us.
