Irritated throat, enlarged tonsils

Post by DPerk » Thu Jan 26, 2023 11:56 pm

After a few great months of therapy, feeling much better, I got a sinus infection a few weeks ago, which cleared up with antibiotics, but then about 10 days ago my tonsils swelled up and have been irritated. Went to the doctor yesterday, got a negative rapid test for strep, negative blood test for mono, was told that it could be a different strain of strep or it could be viral, and that j should take an antibiotic just in case it is bacterial. Haven't had much time to see if the antibiotics are taking care of this, but as wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem. I saw a couple of posts from quite a few years ago, but don't know if I'll hear back on those.
AirSense 11 AutoSet
P30i nasal pillows
Heated tube, humidifier with distilled water
I'm not GREAT about cleaning everything every week, but I think I clean it or replace parts enough to avoid any bacterial growth. Maybe not...

Thanks in advance, everyone.

Multiple times at home - negative for all. Have had Covid twice (last April and August) with fairly mild symptoms both times.

 Typo. Enlarged tonsils. Edited, and it was correct in the body of the post. My mistake.
