Allergic to N20 Headgear?

Post by dpetit10 » Tue Jan 24, 2023 2:11 pm

I switched to the Resmed AirTouch N20 headgear in December. Since then I have developed a rash around my neck and also on my abdomen. The near gear sits on my neck and is a completely different material than my previous headgear so I am thinking the rash is due to this material. It would make sense that it could be contact dermatitis. The rash on my abdomen is obviously not in direct contact with the mask or headgear but it appears the same as the rash on my neck. I have a call in to my doctor but wanted to hear about experiences from daily N20 CPAP wearers to see if they have had anything like this.

Almost certainly NOT related to cpap!
Maybe shingles? Or allergy? Exposure to toxins?
Call the doctor--this is too weird to just guess.
