Inellipap2 moving to full face mask?

Post by crpgnut » Tue Dec 06, 2022 8:35 am

I have an old Intellipap2 that is my first and only CPAP machine I've ever owned. Recently, I'm waking up with a dry mouth and sore throat. My doc has written a script for a full face mask. Are these universal? I've been using a large ace bandage and just wrapping my head so my mouth won't open. I tried a few chin-strap types but I still open my mouth with those. Suggestions are appreciated. I don't really have $500+ for a new machine, nor a script for that. Anyone have a favorite full face mask they love? My head is large, so adjustable is probably good. Thanks!

There are very many FF masks out there, so you need to look at those (which are popular with mouth breathers) to choose one. You can try some, possibly for a small fee on return, from various dealers, such as Cpap.com as everyone's facial structure is different and what works for one does not mean it'll work for you - and do try them on while lying down.
