Post by ronragus » Thu Oct 06, 2022 11:38 am

Sorry if its covered somewhere already- so the card to cloud version of AS10, theres no way to use MyAir to generate compliance/usage report yourself? Only option is SleepHQ and Oscar?

Yes, the Card-to-Cloud devices have no radio ability, therefore the only options are via the SD Card (OSCAR and SleepHQ).

Well there is the ResMed software called ResScan that is also an option. PITA to use and Windows only last I saw.
DMEs and doctors could use ResScan and generate a compliance report if they would but that probably won't happen because DMEs and doctors are wanting the quick fix using the web version....either MyAir or the doctor version AirView....so they probably won't be willing to put forth the effort to use ResScan.

Whomever came up with the "card to cloud" naming....a real piece of work and I say that dripping in sarcasm. Talk about confusing and misleading....but hey....that's what ResMed does best.....do the best they can to confuse people.

Love their products but thoroughly hate their business model.

I believe that the AS11 is also Card to cloud...I have had several of them and none had any indication of modems.

The AirSense 11 also uses the same cellular modem feature as the previous original AirSense 10 model (not applicable to the AirSense 10 Card-to-Cloud) with an added Bluetooth integration. When using the app, you can access your nightly therapy data and troubleshoot remotely using the Remote Assist feature, which will help you and your doctor to have a better understanding of your therapy progress. With the new Bluetooth-enabled connectivity, ResMed offers Over-the-Air Software upgrade capability that provides you with a quick way to receive software updates to maintain your machine’s success over time. ResMed is continually improving the myAir app technology, and it’s great to see that they’ve made it easier to push upgrades and bug fixes wirelessly

Card to cloud implies the opposite of what it actually means. The average customer would think it means the data from the card automatically goes to the cloud. It implies it works with myAir, the app that interacts with the Internet. It does not. It is misleading at best. A lie at worst. Shame on ResMed!

Flogging will cost you extra.

I personally think the name "Card to Cloud" reflects how the machine handles the data it accumulates. I don't understand how you find it "confusing and misleading".
no flogging.

but wherein does the machine transfer from the card to cloud?

Maybe you're supposed to take the card out of the machine, then go outside and expose the card to the clouds so they can read it for you. This would be a good day to do that here as it has been cloudy all day today.

Same thing.

It means that some card who works over in marketing decided to cloud the issue.

Apology accepted.

Pointless questions ignored.

Hey, just me.

But I am happy for anyone who thinks it's a good, clear, descriptive name.

All one of you. (Or maybe we should start a poll?)

Apparently it was named just for (or by?) you!

It's the Internet. So you do you.

Good thread.

Of course, there IS another point of view -- namely that MyAir is a useless feel-good app that lacks the detailed data need to understand and interpret the user's situation. If one is of that view, then the loss of MyAir is not a loss at all.

Useless and feel-good is an apt description.
Kind of unfair to fans of MyAir, even though their trust is misguided . . .
