Hi folks, newbie here so I hope I am doing this correctly.
I have been diagnosed with mild sleep apnea and UARS. I am about a month into using a CPAP nightly. Previous to this I used a MAD for almost a year but it stopped working effectively.
I have been doing a lot of troubleshooting with the CPAP as I can not stay asleep more than 2 hours at a time. I have tried the autoset and it was waking me so I switched to CPAP which does seem a bit better. I run it on 5.8. I turned off EPR on recommendation by my sleep tech as I was getting a lot of treatment induced centrals and since I've turned it off most nights I do not get those.
My issue: I still wake frequently, I feel rested some days but some days not (like today). I would love to be able to sleep more than 90 mns. - 2 hours in a row (although without treatment I was waking every 20 minutes).
Note: I am going through hormonal changes as a 49 year old female and wonder if some of the sleep disturbances are just due to weird hormone stuff and not OSA or UARS. Which is why I am diving into OSCAR to try and decipher what could be what.
My gear: I use the intake breathing magnetic strips to help keep nose open, currently using Dreamware nasal pillows but have experimented with several masks to no avail, mouth tape.
I have attached a few screenshots. I zoomed in on some interesting looking breathing patterns so interested in knowing what's up there.
Would love any thoughts and since I am super new at this any tips for the journey.
Thanks a ton!
