Aircurve V10 auto screen

Post by joshdog » Tue Sep 27, 2022 6:07 pm

I keep getting a mesage or warning on the screen after using the machine. The text is so small, glasses are needed to read it plus the message is long and fills the screen. The message comes up and goes away before I can read it. Is there a way to find out what it is?

Thanks for the help in advance.

take a picture if you have smartphone or canera? Have it ready to go and take several shots in case some are out of focus?

Would you please define “after using”? Do you mean when you have used it for sleep and then turned off the air pressure the message appears? Or is it after you take out and put back in the SD card? Or is it when you first power on the machine?

I have the same machine and the only message I get that is a pop-up is when I put in the SD card.

Lynninnj had a great suggestion to capture it as well. Sometimes simple is best.

Or take a video then edit the video to what you need to show us. You will have to host it to an image hosting site and post the link. hth

The picture was a great idea!!
Using the the machine call it what you want nightly therapy what ever. The message or warning has not come back for three days. I was wondering how long the air pump lasts.

Thanks all

Hey Josh - you asked how long the air pump lasts. Standard warranty is two years and design life is 5 years (14,600 hours run time based on 8 hours per day). Some folks report using machines for longer than 5 years. I'm skeptical. Perhaps the internal seals and/or sensors don't work well after 5 years old. So an old machine may work but may not work well. No way to tell without some sort of sophisticated testing.

You could hook it to a human and see if it still provides effective therapy.

Warranty on my Aircurve is 5 years. Therefore the design life would be substantially more than that.

Thanks for the estimated life expendency.
Mine will be 5 years old in June 2023. I suspect the AirCurve 10 transmits and receives on the 3G cell phone systyem. Since they have taken the 3G cell service out I have lost a good cell phone signal in our area, one bar sometime less, . The data still gets to the Resmed Myair. There is a good 5G /4G signal in our area.

The standard warranty on *most* ResMeds is two years. In Australia it's considerably longer because of your more stringent consumer protection laws.

Yes, we have excellent consumer protection laws. But regardless, nobody is going to give you a five year warranty on a device whose design life is only five years. The law doesn't actually specify the warranty period, just that goods must be fit for purpose for a reasonable period for items of that type (or the relevant lawyer-speak)
