Yes. Didn't feel better through.mummmz wrote: ↑Tue Sep 27, 2022 6:33 pmDid you go donate blood? I have polycythemia secondary to sleep apnea (diagnosed by a hematologist) and was told to donate blood when my RBCs get above normal. Once I donate I feel much better. Several years ago I donated 3-4 times a year but lately my RBCs are within normal range. Blood donation can help you AND help others who need to receive blood.BBX2125 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 10:07 am
Sometime during this, my doctor did blood work, complaining about being tired. My blood count ( CBC ) shows my red blood count is high told me to donate blood to get it down told me to stop my testosterone therapy and then recheck blood. Doctor said red blood count up from a combination of testosterone therapy and sleep apnea.

I'd ask to recheck your CBC to see if your RBCs came down enough.

Masks are designed so that their intentional leak rate is sufficient to blow out the excess CO2 you exhale with each breath. So I don't think you need to worry about inhaling so much CO2 (or CO) that your O2 levels decrease.
This is, however, the reason you want to make sure those exhaust vents on the mask are not blocked by the bed covers and/or your pillow.
