Medicare, finding Medical Supply Co accepting Medicare Approved Amounts should not be this hard.

Post by Karn » Sat Sep 17, 2022 10:12 am

My doctor’s office went to their big book to find a company accepting Medicare Prices as I asked, but from online I don’t think they do. Will accept Medicare, but I have feeling I’d get more costs. Woman on phone didn’t know!
Anyone have experience with Sheldon Medical, American Medical Equipment, or ProAir in MIchigan?

You can look up providers on the Medicare site, under "providers,"
--listed by distance--nearest first.
If a green "M" appears next to their name, yes, they must.
If not, there is a percent limit to how much over they are allowed to charge.
Phone numbers are listed, so you can call them and ask if they will provide
a specific machine or mask.
Important: Never give a DME your credit card number--especially Apria or Lincare.
Also, never authorize automatic refills.
