AHI readings
AHI readings
Hello all. I have not made a p0st in a while however,, I have a question. I hope that I will get some answers. In the past month I have had some rather high AHI scores.11.4, 9.55, and several more in the double digit area. I have been using my machine nightly and I can honestly say that it makes very little changes in my daily routine. I have the humidity set to 6. The pressure is set to 5 and 12. Anyway if someone would like to chime is I am always open to helpful suggestions, Ken
Re: AHI readings
AHI numbers all by themselves really don't tell us much.
Need to know the breakdown into each category....that's why we ask for OSCAR reports since OSCAR shows that breakdown.

Pugsy, The only fly in the ointment is that I do not have the computer savvy to transfer the data from Oscar to this forum.

Re: AHI readings
Does your computer have an SD Card reader?
Do you have OSCAR installed on your computer?
Do you have an SD Card in your CPAP machine?
If the answer is yes to all three questions, remove the SD Card from your machine, insert it into the card reader on your computer, open OSCAR, click on import data.
You can now see your sleep data.
Please read the post about "Pugsy's pointers" at the top in the announcements section.
Pugsy has several links in her post you will find very helpful

Thank you for the replies. Ye I have all three. The problem is taking the information from Oscar and transferring it to this site for analysis.Iamstumped wrote: ↑Thu Sep 08, 2022 2:15 pmDoes your computer have an SD Card reader?

Re: AHI readings
There is the AHI that is given with the last night's sleep report.
It will show Apnea Index which is the central index plus the OA index and it further tells you what the central index is so we can deduct what the OA index is from that detail...and then we can further figure out the hyponea index when we know the AHI and the AI and the central index.
The details don't just have to come from the software...you got it right on the LCD screen.
Example...my AHI last night was...1.6
Apnea Index was 1.1
Central Index was 0.2
So that means the Obstructive index as 0.9
and the rest was the hyponea index 0.5
You just have to look further into the sleep report.
