Thanks for the pointer, but they are in Texas and we're in Canada.
OK, I was guilty of this too, and just changed my profile to include my location. But the vast majority of our members are in the US, and I left my crystal ball at home. If you're looking for recommendations or resources to find equipment and supplies, give us a clue what country you are in. This is not directed at the OP only--many of us are guilty of not being clear about our location when we seek recommendations.

It's easy enough to add a location to your profile. Click your user name at the top, click "Profile" and click "Edit Profile".

And please write out "California" or "Canada" because the abbreviation "CA" could mean either.

Being in Canada is also a problem when wanting to order Respironics stuff as well as the ResMed stuff.
Both Respironics and ResMed prohibit the shipping of any of their products outside the USA.
For same reason cpap suppliers in Canada can't ship to the USA when it comes to Respironics or ResMed products.
probably because canada has socialized medicine a price is set. shipping out of the country might be unfair to the company because contracts with the US are higher.

Once medicare and pharma are setting more realistic pricing it could level the playing field a bit.

We don't have set prices for products here. Likely it's a tariff issue with medical devices.

The fact that cpap.com can't ship outside the USA (or other countries can't ship outside their domicile country) probably has more to do with contracts that ResMed and Respironics forces retailers to sign before they can enter into a wholesale contract with ResMed/Respironics than it has to do with any tariff situation.

Years ago it didn't matter. ResMed was the first to enforce this contract provision and Respironics followed not long afterwards.
What it amounts to is if you want a wholesale contract with ResMed/Respironics you have to agree to not ship outside the country where you live. As to why these companies want this in their contracts you would have to ask them.
If you are in business to sell cpap stuff and be competitive you have to play by the manufacturer's rules. Pretty simple.
ResMed price fixes...or tries to and that's why the MSRP you see online won't vary much.

I am situated in Canada and have had no problem getting Resmed or Respironics supplies from the U.S. ..... been buying cpap stuff for 13 years. I have even bought from Cpap.com frequently. I have also bought an autoset 10 from a forum member in the U.S.... we just cheated by sending it to a friend in the U.S. and she sent it to me . I have bought cpap masks from the U.S. without any problems whatsoever. Things DO take longer to be mailed ..eg: Cpap.com is in Texas and Im in southern Alberta, any product from them I can usually expect a 3 week delivery delay. AND oh yes: the customs folks have no problem with U.S, packages since medical supplies are free to go through the border.

Cheers
Nan
