The "cleanable" tub is made using better materials, to last longer
Both tubs can be hand washed, when needed.
On the Airsense 10, the price difference is small.
Your dealer may be over-charging. Do compare with online prices.
I suggest the forum sponsors, cpap.com.

I looked and they didnt have one yet for the AS11.

I noticed the small differential.

Interestingly, most of the complains/comments were saying the washable one was crap. Maybe because they were putting them in the dishwasher? Who knows.

either way I am content knowing that if I had to replace mine between insurance replacements it wouldn't break the bank.

I just hand dry with dish towel a bit and set it out to air dry the rest of the way over the course of the day and it seems good so far.

I only wash my tank before bedtime--when I do it at all.
There is no need to dry it, because I fill it right away.

interesting technique

I don’t want the bacteria and fungi to have a happy place to grow all day long.

whatever works for you tho.

I hardly ever wash it beyond occasionally swishing with baby shampoo water that I soak the cushion in, then rinse and dry. m
can’t imagine putting it in dishwasher

I have the dishwasher water tub for the AS10, but as far as putting it into the dishwasher, I have never put it into the dishwater, as I did not know what the chemical detergents would do to the water tank. Instead, I just hand washed it and let it air dry

What is RO water?
Sorry, reverse osmosis water.

The manager of a health food store told me that reverse osmosis water
was "the same" as distilled water. He gave me 2 gallons at the grand opening.
That RO water left white dust in my tank; I never bought more.
When fed BS, this frog does not ask for seconds.
The store is gone now.

I cannot claim credit for any of the places that I once worked--that are gone.
I dare not count them--it creeps me out.

While I no longer need a humidifier, I always got the washable so I could disinfect and clean. I used distilled water, rarely just filtered followed by vinegar soak.

The washable tank has thicker metal on the bottom, and a shinier finish.
The dull finish on the basic S9 tank was harder to clean, and it was a beast to open.
I only had one standard tank--with the s9--I only have the washable tanks thereafter
and with my airsense 10 machines.
