Trouble with the Wellue O2Ring pulse oximeter.

Post by biberwoke95 » Sat Feb 06, 2021 2:07 pm

I've been wearing it every night and 99% of the time when I sync it to the app in the morning, the data is broken down into 3 or 4 separate reports with a gap of a couple or so minutes in between each. I've been wearing it on my thumb, which is supposed to be the best placement. I've even tried having it at different spots on my thumb but still run into the same issue.

Is anyone else having this problem?

Mine seems pretty good although a couple nights ago I found the night was split into two reports. I don't know why it happened. I wonder if touching the touch sensitive button has anything to do with it. I am a extremely active sleeper so it's possible the ring moved that night and caused the split. Due to large hands I wear it on my pinky finger.

Rob,
Mine has been ok except for twice when all the data was imported but there was a red line at the beginning for about 20 minutes and then the SPO2data stated showing in Oscar. All the info was there, but it was out of time sync with Oscar. It's only happened twice out of the month I've been using it. Otherwise it's been great.

Oscar time goes by what your xpap machine is set to. My Resmed Vauto time clock needs to be set manually so I need to reset it during time changes and check it once in a while for drift. You can't set it down to the second so it's tough to get it set exactly. Luckily Oscar has a time drift setting in the preferences that allows you to make clock corrections. That way when you import xpap data, body position data and spo2 data it all lines up properly time wise.

The o2ring time clock is supposed to sync with your phone to automatically set the time the same as your phone. Or I should say sync with your bluetooth device. I have the software for my pc also and when I plug the ring into the usb it does not sync the time. So it does need to sync via bluetooth to get the proper time on the o2ring.

My o2 Ring also starts and stops multiple times in the night, buzzing and waking me up, and then chunking my data into several segments. Why is this happening? I emailed the company many months back about it, and they wanted me to send a video of this happening. I politely explained that I can't do that as it occurs while I am sleeping and is a brief event, not possible to capture on video. Then they asked me to see if it was happening during the day... I don't wear it during the day! I work 8 hours every week day and am busy on weekends, I can't wear the Ring all day just to see if I can reproduce the event they are looking for. I believe the device may be defective, but I guess there is no satisfying Wellue customer service to get it replaced if it is. I am wearing it on my right thumb since I am a left side sleeper in order to ensure it is not being bumped or otherwise squashed while I sleep. I have all vibrating notifications turned off since I don't really want it waking me in the night even if my o2 drops below 94 (which it hasn't since I started CPAP therapy almost 6 months ago). I still wake several times each night despite my low AHI numbers, so I was trying to make sure it isn't due to any desaturations. It's annoying to have the data in chunks.
