Hey everyone, currently using a Resmed 10 with a full face mask. I’ve been on It for about a year no problems. Amazing results.
Anyways I’ve noticed when I clean my hose and headgear when I plug it in to use for the night (after it’s all dry). My CPAP will shoot the pressure so high where I can’t even wear it.
I’ve tried everything from unplugging it, cleaning all the seals and making sure everything is how its supposed to be.
What could be the issue?
I know there’s gotta be a quick a quick fix.
Extra info…
-This is my 2nd Resmed because the first one wasn’t able to go back to normal operation. What are the odds of getting another faulty machine?
-issue only happens when I clean it and I’m talking like wiping it down lightly even (mask and all)
-I’m know the pressure is off because I been using this for over a year and I know all my gear fits.
-I could probably do a factory reset or change my pressures, but I don’t want to keep doing that everytime this happens.

Re: CPAP malfunctioning? help!?
An OSCAR graph would show the alleged pressure difference.
You claim, after cleaning, the pressure is high. At what point does it return to normal?
Are you talking, immediately after cleaning? Or later that evening?
Pressure too high, or flow?

Are you using filters? Exchanging them/it routinely? Don't know if it would matter, but...

Are you using an APAP? If so, the high end of the range might be too high.
Also, if the initial pressure is too high, you might want to consider lowering the initial ramp pressure and lengthening the ramping time.
