Sorry to hear about your issues. I have the same problem. Sometimes acts up more in periods of anxiety.

Oscar and Dr said mine are sleep onset central’s. Guess most people sleep through them. They come and go. Been two years now. Usually in clusters. No rhyme or reason. Hopefully yours goes away!
Hi. Yeah, what you're describing sounds like what I have. It did go away after about two weeks which is why I haven't been back to this site, but it just started up again Thursday night for seemingly no reason. Been back to normal for the last six months, so I don't know what's caused it to return, but it's been every night now since Thursday. Last night was the worst. I think I was awake about half the night. I finally increased my minimum pressure level to 10 in the middle of the night. That seemed to have helped, not entirely sure yet. I'm not used to that high of pressure so that also may have caused me issues falling asleep, but I'll try again tonight and see what happens.

If you ever find a reason - feel like to let me know! Mine is continuing on and off still. No real rhyme or reason. Had a sleep test for an ASV machine. But it didn’t end up happening that night - so I dunno if that’s good or bad. Will be a few more months until I hear the true results.

I still don't know why I'm having those minor apneas as I'm dozing off.
Because your pressure isn't high enough to hold your airway open, even when you're just starting to doze off.

based on the two nights you presented, try a min pressure of 10, no ramp.
Started off at 10 last night. Took a THC gummy before going to bed and don't recall any of these events while falling asleep the first time, but I woke up a little before 2:00 to go to the bathroom. I did experience them while trying to fall back to sleep. I shut off the machine and kicked it up to 11. I think I may still have had some events, but not entirely sure. I'll have to see what happens tonight. Just like six months ago when this happened to me, Oscar isn't showing anything happening when I experience these events. They're so subtle, but it's enough to keep me awake. I also recall a few body jerks at points in the night too. I'm starting to wonder if I have something neurological going on.

Will do. I'll probably call my sleep clinic tomorrow and make an appointment to go see the doctor. He wasn't very helpful the last time this happened. He said he had no explanation for it. I went back to a full face mask las night and cranked the minimum pressure level to 10, but it still happened.

Update. I went about four nights in a row without issue. Took a THC gummy three of the four nights before going to bed. The only issue with those is that they seem to leave me drowsy the next day. Then Saturday had some issues again with the "mini apneas" and had to take a Xanax to fall asleep. Slept until almost 9:30 in the morning. Had no issues last night that I can recall, so it's coming and going. I've backed off on the Zyrtec. Instead of taking it every morning and evening I've been taking it only when needed. Usually, if I go more than two or three days without one my skin starts to itch, so that's when I've been taking one. So far my nasal congestion doesn't seem to be any worse off, so that's a good thing as far as that goes. I've also been backing off a bit from caffeine. I typically have a cup of coffee every morning, which I'm still doing, but I also drink an energy drink before going to the gym. I've been backing off on those here and there to see if there is a correlation. I had one Saturday before going to the gym and had the issues Saturday night. Yesterday, I didn't go to the gym, so I never drank one and didn't have issues last night. I'm about to go now and am drinking one now so we'll see what happens tonight.

Have you taken a look at your caffeine intake or any medications you may be on?

Caffeine intake hasn’t had an effect. Found no correlation. Not on any medications. I find it happens much more frequently on days I have higher anxiety. But that’s about it. Most of the time no rhyme or reason. Dr says some transitional apneas are Normal but my O2 drops so much during them it wakes me up.

Haven’t found anything that has helped but just comes and goes and something I just live with.
