Recommendations for new CPAP

Post by kong » Tue Jul 26, 2022 10:03 am

Does anyone have any recommendations for a new CPAP machine? With my health insurance, I'm eligible for a new machine. Currently, I use a Resmed Autoset 10.

AutoSet 10 or AutoSet 11. If you are interested in the For Her algorithm, it's added to the 11 but with the 10, it's a separate machine.

I too would get another Resmed AirSense 10 AutoSet machine again, either the regular or the For Her.

Stick with the brand and model you currently use....or maybe the latest ResMed model of what you currently use the AirSense 11 AutoSet...if you can find and get one. They are scarce.

Don't go changing brands at all.

I wouldn't be afraid of getting the AirSense 11 AutoSet if it were me. It's been released long enough now for any major bugs in the new model to have been identified if there were any.

ResMed (last I heard this past spring) were still manufacturing both the older model the AirSense 10 AutoSet and the AirSense 11 AutoSet at the same time to help with the shortage of machines.

Since the power connection and filters are different if you stuck with the AS 10 you will have spare parts for your 2nd AS 10. Not sure if the water chamber is different but I'm sure someone here knows.

It's interesting to hear they are still making the autoset 10 for her. I can't find one in stock anywhere. Does anyone know where to get one?
