I went through the entire discussion and it seems like you are asking this community what the right pressure settings should be, which no one would be able to answer, other than your original sleep specialist who prescribed the machine.PJT wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 1:51 amI don't have the old machine. It's at my service provider's. I wasn't able to go today and I have to pick up my DS2 in the afternoon on Monday.
In any case I notice that at my current settings (11.0 air, 11.0 minimum, c-flex on) and I keep waking up because I'm swallowing air. I suffer from anxiety and IBS/GERD, so I'm not sure how much of it is my pre-existing condition vs. how much is my CPAP. I set it to the previous air pressure settings I remember, which may or may not have been up to 12? I'm worried that my pressure settings wil cause me health problems or blow out my lung or something, but I am keeping it close to what I remember, that can't actually happen to me unless it's an extreme case, right?
It also looks like you will be getting a brand new Phillips Respironics-2 in a couple of days. So just hang tight until your technician sets it all up for you,...which also means that she must have access to your original prescribed settings if she will be setting the new machine up, so why don't you just ask her what the settings should be? If she says doesn't know, then how is she setting your new machine up for you?
It is somewhat irresponsible of her not to tell you what the settings on your temporary machine should be, if she knows what they are. That will not be a liability for her to just give you a copy of your prescription, which I would have thought you have every right to have access to, wherever you live.
