Solar Powered Generators-Portable

Have any of you seen these and are there any special ones that you like, you've got to get it with the solar panel (s) but it could be an answer for PAP machines.

S9 no humidifier during a blackout if that happens in South Florida plus charging the phone maybe running Wi-Fi but I have a UPS but I have no idea how long that would last.

I know this pumps it up to a whole nother level but if the refrigerator could plug into it, that would be nice too. So portability isn't that important. It would basically be used at home where I have a backyard where I can put some kind of solar panels and then I guess I would want to be able to run some kind of lines into the house so I can keep the doors locked. How is that?

I looked on Amazon and I see all this stuff about sign curves and inverters I don't know exactly what I would need and what I would need to hook up to the S9 but couldn't it just plug the S9 into this thing or is that less efficient?

OK, good description of how you would use it. Maybe someone with experience can help.

I have an 18AH mobility battery, ResMed converter and cheap charger. This would get me through one night. Most of the neighbors have natural gas whole-house generators. They would charge my battery daily if the power remained off.

We keep considering a whole-house natural gas generator, but then we'll go two or three years without missing a night of power, and it doesn't seem to make sense to invest in a generator.

BTW, the S9 converters are discontinued and may be out of stock.

Not cost effective from what I've heard and discovered, when we researched it for boon docking. Those little portable generators like the Jackery do not last a full night unless you have the dc converter and what it charges back even if the day is sunny is not really enough to run it a second night. For home power outages I can use my husbands agm scooter batteries. I have tested and gotten a full two nights out of them can maybe get three but I haven't tested that yet. For boon docking we went with the dual fuel generator from Costco to charge the rv batteries when we need too.

I can't say one good thing about these commercial portable solar generators. they are to expensive and the electrical parts they put in them are poor quality. if you have a problem with one. you have to send it back to the company for repairs. the battery they put in them are poor quality also. if you have some basic electrical skill. you can build one yourself. I build my own with two lithium 100 amp batteries. I power a 12 volt Engel fridge, one C-pap and now an oxygen concentrator. I charge my iPads , small electrical with 12 volt only. the big power energy is my oxygen concentrator. that energy hog uses 105 watts per hour. My battery bank will determine what I want to power. I stay away from inverters. I use dc power converters only. I charge my batteries with a generator. I plug my 20 amp victron battery charger to it. I can go 5 nights with a c-pap used with air only with a 100 amp lithium battery. My concentrator battery last one night. I use about 60 percent of my 100 amp battery. I must use lithium. wet or AGM batteries will not cut it. lithium batteries are very expensive. if you want to camp in the woods for two or more weeks. you must use lithium. c-pap use very little energy. try living with a oxygen concentrator with 12 volts for two weeks. I doing something right.
