I have used Smartstart ever since I got the first Airsense10.
It turns the machine on, but I turn it off with the button.
(((Smartstart is lousy at stopping.)))
Half as much use means double the lifespan.

it gets iffy with pillow masks (especially in smaller sizes) and lower pressures, I imagine that if you just pop the pillows off the frame, it'd turn off, Problem with pillows is that there's still enough back pressure that the machine isn't sure it's not just a big leak.Get OSCAR and come chat on IRC: #cpaptalk on irc.libera.chat

It will turn off if I pull the mask off the hose,
so I know it's a differential in airflow.
It's easier to just hit the button--and nicer to the hose connection.

l have an air curve 10 VAuto and am experiencing the same. I had to disconnect my climate line to get it to stop. But mine is about a decade old.

I have had my AirSense10 for almost 1 year, but have not had any problems with it, YET.
