I thought I’d share my experience on adapting a ResMed AirMini P10 Mask with the integral HumidX HME for use on ANY CPAP machine. I have a Transcend 2 Travel CPAP and have used this adapter successfully recently. This should work with any of the AirMini masks currently available.

The adapter I used was purchased as part of a 4 piece hose adapter set from Amazon. One of these adapters is shown on the picture which fits perfectly on the ResMed proprietary connector without using any tape or adhesive.

Personally, the humidification offered by HumidX (even the Plus version) is a bit lacking but good enough in a pinch or when the ambient humidity is high (e.g summer time).
That is good to know. Never came across this item in my searches even after I made my own adjustments. At least my modification works.

You are correct about the humidx (plus and standard). It will never be an exact substitute for a real humidifier but the plus version provides enough humidification for me on my camping trips and I do not get the hay fever sneezing attacks like I do with a passive solution or without a humidifier at all. I find that pre moistening the humidx definitely helps.

Ahh, never tried pre-moistening, how is that done? Must be the reason why my second night’s (and succeeding nights) use of a new HumidX disk is usually better than the first.

I just use bottled drinking water to pre-moisten it. You can either pour it over the humidx or dunk the humidx into a small bowl of the water.

Better late than never on my results...

The humidx is NOT the solution for me. It does not provide enough humidification for me and I ended up with the same results I would have without a humidifier. Very dry nose and frequent sneezing was the result. It was worth a try however. When I am off grid, I will just have to use a passive heating method which has worked for me in the past: I put a humidifier in an insulated lunch bag with a bunch of hand warmers and close it up as much as possible (only leaving room for the hose(s) to stick out). It's a bit more bulky but it works like a charm.
